Christine Annette Morgan, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 77. Born on September 23, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, Christine brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Christine's life was marked by her kindness and her ability to light up a room with her personality. She was a cherished presence at Englewood Hardware, as well as several Dollar General stores, where her genuine spirit endeared her to countless customers. Every visit was more than just a transaction; it was an opportunity for Christine to connect, share a laugh, and offer her heartfelt support, making every customer feel like a friend. Her zest for life extended beyond her work. Christine attended East High School, where she began to cultivate the values that would define her character. Strong yet playful, she was known for her witty humor and her knack for being ornery in the most lovable way. Friends and family alike respected her hard-headed determination, which was matched only by her incredible work ethic. At home, Christine created a nurturing environment for her friends and family. As an animal lover, she shared her life with several cherished cats and dogs who were fortunate enough to enjoy her affectionate care. Her two green thumbs flourished in her garden, as she knew how to nurture both plants and people alike, making her home one of growth and love. Her passion for music, particularly that of Randy Travis, and her enthusiasm for NASCAR and favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, were just a few of the joys that brightened her world. Christine leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, strength, and friendship, as she adored her children and her husband deeply. The emotional bonds she formed with those around her will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of crossing her path.
Christine's passing was preceded by her mother, Mary Grass; her brother, Robert F. Grass Jr.; and her grandmother, May Stark. Her legacy lives on through her husband of over 60 years, Doug Morgan; her children, David Morgan (Chally) and Mischell "Missy" McClain (Bobby); and her granddaughter, Krystal Adams.
