Cindy Louise Lundquist

Cynthia “Cindy” Louise Lundquist age 62 passed away at the University of Kansas Medical Center on Monday, July 17th 2023. Visitation will be held Monday, July 24th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence MO from 6 to 8pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Marks Church in Independence MO Tuesday July 25th, at 11am.

 She was born to Tony and Clara Castro on May 9th, 1961 in Kansas City Missouri. She graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1979 and earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Cindy married Greg Lundquist in 1994 and moved to Independence. They were blessed with twin children, Olivia and Brett Lundquist whom she leaves behind. Additionally, Cindy will be remembered by her sister Cheryl Campbell and husband Calvin, brother and sister in law Alan and Susan Lundquist. As well as beloved nieces and nephews Danielle Campbell, Brad Lundquist, Kara Lundquist. Including adored great nephews Elijah Jenkins, and Finn and Bram Lundquist. Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents Aurora Cabrera and Clarence Westendorff.

 Many friends and family knew Cindy by the nickname “Tia Boo”. She enjoyed her time the most when it was spent with family and friends. A few of her favorite traditions every year was the superbowl party that she hosted and tamale making during the holidays. The moments that Boo treasured the most were watching her children play sports, gardening or cooking with her mother, watching chiefs games with her father, and going to church with her family. She also enjoyed spending her time with family and friends at the lake of the Ozarks and traveling. Cindy did not go anywhere without making a friend and lighting up the room. She will be dearly missed and her family will carry on her legacy by living her values.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Cindy.
