Emma Berneice Clark, 85, passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at The Rosewood Health Center in Independence, MO.
Berneice was born on August 30, 1926, in Breadstown, IL. She loved her family and her Community of Christ church, serving as Priest, and frequently admonished her children: “You can do anything you set your mind to do”. With her constant positive attitude, she is a beautiful example of this motto. Whenever Berneice saw a need, she set out to meet it. No experience necessary! In service to the end, Berneice chose to donate her body to medical research. She was a faithful companion, a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, and a lover of life and of God.
Berneice has now been reunited with her parents, Clarence & Margaret Anderson, her brothers, Ivan Shay, Bill & Bob Anderson, sister, Ann Rawlings & Grandchildren, Sterling & Chloe Clark. She leaves behind a loving family: husband Fred Clark, Sr. of Independence, MO; daughter Emma Sue Clark of Huntington Beach, CA and her sons Sgt. Jeremiah Sharier and 1st Class PO Jonathan Sharier (Ashley); and her son Fred Clark, Jr. (Lisa) of Kansas City, MO, their son Nicholas, and daughters Jenna and Lacey; sister-in-law Barb Shay; brother Cleo Anderson (Sybil); sister Clarice Young; sister-in-law Dana Anderson; and sister-in-law Ruth Anderson, and many nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Stone Church, 1012 West Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64050-3521, phone (816) 254-2211.
