Zeke Clem, 81, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City VA.
Zeke was born June 17, 1930 in County Line, OK the son of Kerney and Nola Mae (Termin) Clem. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving in the Korean War. Zeke owned and operated Clem’s Drive-In in Independence.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Melva in 1997; and sisters, Alma Lee Clem, and Bertha Ayers. Survivors include his son, Anthony Clem and his wife Linda; step grandchildren, Matthew and Emily; sister, Junita Snow; and additional nieces, nephews and family.
