John Clements, Jr.

John S. Clements, Jr., 57, Independence, MO passed away unexpectedly at his home Dec. 25, 2009. Services will be 2 pm, Sat., Jan. 2, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO; cremation. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the John S. Clements, Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o US Bank, 110 E. 24 Hwy, Independence, MO 64050.
John was born March 26, 1952 in Marshall, MO. He was a millwright and had worked for Automatic Systems for over ten years. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local #1529. John loved music, especially The Beatles, movies and history. He was a student of the Bible and was well versed on the subject. He also played a number of musical instruments by ear.
John was preceded in death by his father John S. Clements, Sr. and brother Chuck Clements. He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years Diane Clements; sons James Clements, Jesse Clements, all of the home; Chris Clements and wife Leah, Buffalo, NY; Wayne Clements and wife Michelle; daughter Valerie Stevenson and husband Jared; his mother Bettie Joe Clements, all of Independence, MO; brother Keith Clements and wife Linda, Rusk, TX; sister Nancy Clements, Independence, MO; sister Connie Holt and husband Jeff, Lee’s Summit, MO; and five grandchildren.
