Peggy Louise Cline

Peggy Louise Cline, of Independence, Missouri passed away Saturday May 20, 2023. She was 84 years of age.

Peggy was born on November 28, 1938, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Wilbur Merle and Elizabeth Louise (Williams) Dickey.

She graduated from Northeast High School in the class of 1956. Peggy worked as a secretary for a bit while her first husband, Bill Minx, was in the Armed Forces and she held some part time administrative positions but primarily Peggy was homemaker and took great pride in that. After the passing of her husband Bill, Peggy met Don Cline and on February 27, 1976 they were wed in Oklahoma.

Peggy was a fantastic cook learning great skills from her grandmother. She and Don loved to take drives on back country roads and enjoyed the fresh air. Peggy loved the outdoors and going on walks and being in nature. She had great skills at hand sewing, needlepoint, and all types of handworks. She was a lover of all animals and was known to tame the feral of alley cats and train them to be loving house pets. A rescue home for many dogs too. Peggy had the biggest heart and will be missed by all who knew her.

Peggy is survived by her adopted daughter, Michele (Doug) Halenbeck; grandchild, Kathy (Brian) Eagan; great grandchildren, Rachael and Jonathan McCoy; Stepsons Kevin Cline of Washington and Dale Cline of Virginia. Her beloved cats, Samson and Delila (Cali). She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Elizabeth Dickey; husbands, Bill Minx and Don Cline.

Cremation is planned with a Graveside Inurnment at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri, taking place on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00am.
