MaryAnn Clutter, 76, of Independence, MO passed away January 17, 2010 at her home. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, at the chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or the American Cancer Society. MaryAnn was born September 11, 1933 in Alton, MO to Gilbert and Gladys (Langley) Blankenship. She was a life member of the Kansas City School District PTA, 32-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, 8 & 40, Girl Scouts and DeMolay. She was also a long-time member of the Nazarene Church. MaryAnn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Robert L. Clutter; one daughter, Vickie Reynolds and husband Gregg; one son, Rickie Clutter; one sister, Wanda Hollis; one brother, Wesley Blankenship; two grandchildren, Aaron Reynolds and AnnMarie Whalen Clutter; and one great granddaughter, Alexis “Lexie” Reynolds.
