Marcella Cocherell

Marcella Marie Cocherell, 70, Indep, MO passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Marcella was born July 26, 1942 in Ottumwa, IA the daughter of Harold and Veda (Daugherty) Hayes. She worked at Strike-N-Spare Bowling Lanes for 20 years as league coordinator. Marcella was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association and inducted into the Missouri Bowling Hall of Fame for her committed work with the Association. She was a member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church. Marcella enjoyed the outdoors and taking her grandchildren on trips to visit numerous state parks.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Madison Cocherell and her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jack Cocherell of 51 years; daughters, LeAnn Petty, Teri Baker (Brett), Janice Cocherell; son, Edward Cocherell (Holly); eight grandchildren; one great grandson; and a brother, Charles Hayes.
A memorial mass will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to the American Stroke Foundation, or Special Olympics.
