Dora Louise Coe

Dora Louise (Hull) Coe, 87, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Kindred Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Dora was born May 19, 1919 in Chariton, IA to Arthur and Lorena (Carson) Hull. Mrs. Coe was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Independence. She retired after 33 years of service from Herald Publishing. Dora enjoyed oil painting in her spare time mainly painting portraits and landscapes. She also enjoyed golfing. Mrs. Coe is survived by her sons Jerry Coe and fiancé Glenda Hopkins, Larry Coe and wife Ann; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Jerry Hull and wife Patty. Dora was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Harold Coe in 2003 and sister Velma Blanchard in 2007.
