Juliet Catherine "Julie" Cokeley (Kreil)

April 20, 1976 — May 13, 2023

Juliet C. Cokeley, 47, died unexpectedly in her sleep the morning of May 13, 2023. Eight years ago Julie was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy and had an implanted pacemaker/defibrillator. At 3:00 am Julie’s heart went into ventricular fibrillation. The device delivered 7 shocks but was unable to return her heart to a regular rhythm. Julie was asleep for the episode and likely did not know it was happening nor felt any pain. This was a very special day for Julie and I like to believe that she had the best seat in the house for her baby boy’s graduation from Pharmacy school. Everyone that spoke with Julie in the last 6 months knows two things...
She is a grandmother and Kevin is going to be a Doctor! Julie was full of life, love and happiness. Julie is a Mom to many because she had many Mother’s and was always there for anyone that needed her. Julie loved the outdoors, nature, Dogs, thunderstorms, music and more than anything spending every possible moment with her Grandson, children and her best friend and husband of 27 years.

Julie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jim; two children, Kevin Cokeley (Arianna), Kaitlyn Bax (Levi); and her precious Grandson, Winston James Bax. Preceded in death by Her loving mother, Patricia Kreil; raised in her adolescent years by the late Timothy J. and the late Rita M Byrnes (nee O’Donnell). Loving sister of Brooke (James) Pierson, Patrick Byrnes (Daniel Spagnuolo), Emily (Sean) Campbell. Sister in law to Michael (Nahrain) Cokeley and Robert Cokeley. Loving aunt to many. Daughter in law of the late Margaret Cokeley. Julie is now with many of her favorite people in heaven and I am sure they are all watching over us and having a great time. Later in life Julie found her birth family and is also survived by her birth mother, Susan Brinkman, and grandparents, Elaine and Preston, along with their entire family that loved her.

One of the worst days in Julie’s life was the services and funeral for her mother when she was very young and the family has chosen private cremation ceremony with a private celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
