Christopher Lee Comstock, 48 of Independence, MO, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association. Chris was born July 12, 1961 in Independence, MO to Robert and Judith (Faulkner) Comstock and has been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Truman High School in 1979 and attended Longview College. He had worked for over 20 years for the John A. Marshall Company in North Kansas City currently as the IT Manager. He enjoyed golf, Call of Duty video game, and was an avid Chiefs and University of Missouri fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Independence. He was married to Dee Cochran on October 25, 1986; she survives of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Amanda L. Comstock of Independence, MO; a step son, Russell Norcross of Independence, MO; his parents, Robert and Judy Comstock of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Wendy L. Comstock of Lee’s Summit, MO and Angie L. Comstock of Independnece, MO. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kurtis L. Comstock in 1976 and a son, Curtis L. Comstock in 1987.
