Marjorie Ellen Conner, 73 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away, Sunday morning, March 29, 2009 at her residence. Marjorie was born August 1, 1935 in Neodesha, KS the daughter of Carl and Hazel (Hann) Lamb. She graduated from Neodesha High School. Marjorie had worked for American Telephone and Telegraph Co. for over 31 years, retiring in 1985. Known for her cookie baking and cross-stitching talents, she shared the products thereof with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Floyd Earl, Jessie Merle and Edward Lamb, sisters Helen Lamb Baty and Evelyn Lamb Brady. Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, L. Earle Conner of the home; a son, Brian Conner and his wife Brenda and granddaughter, Blake of Lee’s Summit, MO; a sister Sue McLean and husband John of Hermitage, MO as well as many wonderful and loving nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Citizens Civic Relief Commission 103 S. Sterling in Sugar Creek, MO 64054.
