Marion Conyers

Marion A. Conyers, 94, of La Crosse, WI, formerly of Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Free Church, 1950 Hwy 35 North, Onalaska, WI 54650, c/o Deacon Fund. Marion was born December 25, 1913 in Independence, MO to Ralph M. and Alta B. (Roach) Barnard. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1931. Marion was united in marriage to David R. Conyers on December 25, 1933. Mrs. Conyers worked for the State of Missouri before retirement. She is survived by her sons David Dean Conyers, Paul Douglas Conyers and wife Judy; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister Nadine Van Hook; five nieces; three nephews. Marion was preceded in death by her husband David Conyers; son Richard Nelson Conyers; two sisters and one brother.
