Corrina Cook

Corrina Sue Cook, 61, of Independence, MO, passed away on January 24, 2022. Corrina was born on Saturday, September 2, 1961, to Melvin and Sandra Cook. She was their only daughter, one of two children, and truly a light in their lives. Corrina was a lover of knowledge, always out to discover new things. She obtained a degree from Park University, graduating at the top of her class. She was an amazing cook, especially a baker, her specialty being delectable cakes.

She was resourceful, kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed just about anything fun, especially with the people she loved so much.Her biggest loves and sources of joy were her three grandkids. Corrina loved them, and her daughter, and her parents with her whole heart. Corrina also had a furry little companion, Stella, who brought her great joy.

Corrina is survived by her parents, Melvin and Sandra Cook, one daughter, Michele, son-in-law Adam Kraft, 3 grandchildren, one brother, Melvin Lee Cook and nephews Travis and Zhenya, aunts and uncles, Alice and John, Wanda and Larry, RossAnn, Richard and Sharon, and many beloved cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Eva and Elsie, and aunts Betty and Mildred, and cousin, Frank.
A visitation for Corrina will be held from 11am-12pm on Friday February 10, 2023 at First Baptist Church of North Kansas City with services immediately following at 12pm. She will be laid to rest at Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, Missouri.
