Nadine Coombs Glasgow, 89, of Excelsior Springs, MO (formerly of the Kansas City area) passed away November 2, 2011. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Monday, November 7, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Nadine was born October 2, 1922 in Cowgill, MO to Thomas and Ethel (Mayberry) Brookshier. During her working career, she worked for Sheffield Steel and the U.S. Postal Service. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and would always help those in need. Nadine was a former member of the Beaumont Baptist Church and most recently Lawson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Neville Coombs and George Glasgow; as well as nine brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her two children, Skip Coombs and Patricia Davis; stepdaughter, Johnna Lingle; four grandchildren, Adam Davis and wife Trisha, Aaron Davis and wife Amanda, Samantha Downing and husband Eric, Terry Coombs; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister, Marjorie Phillips.
