William "Bill" Cooper

March 6, 1931 — February 12, 2007

William Edward "Bill" Cooper, 75 of Independence passed away Mon. Feb. 12, 2007. Services will be 3:00 pm, Fri. Feb 16, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Contributions are suggested to Cancer Action of Independence. Mr. Cooper was born on Mar. 6, 1931 to Ralph and Chloe (Osborn) Cooper in Bagnell, MO. He was raised in Mansfield, MO and moved to the Kansas City Area in 1950. Bill retired from the Gas Service Company in Kansas City in 1994. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family, especially babysitting his grandchildren. He had previously loved to Coon Hunt and had been an active member of the McDonald Masonic Lodge 76 and regularly attended the Blue Springs Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wanda Cooper of Independence. Two sons, Ralph Cooper and wife Dee of Blue Springs and David Cooper of Independence. Two daughters, Rebecca Cooper of Independence and Billie Trout and husband Darrell of Blue Springs. Three grandchildren, Stephen Cooper, Sarah Trout and Greg Trout. A brother, Clifford Cooper, of Mansfield, MO and a sister, Della Staudt of West Plains, MO. Aunts and Uncles, including a special aunt, Dorothea Osborn and nieces and nephews
