Ruth Elizabeth Coskey (Moyer)

Ruth Elizabeth (Moyer) Coskey, 81, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Wellington Parke Assisted Living Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm on Friday, April 18th at Messiah Lutheran Church, 613 S. Main, Independence, MO 64050 with a memorial service to follow at 1pm. Private committal services at Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Independence, MO. Ruth was born Feb 10, 1933 in Milleville, Missouri area the daughter of William Samuel and Haydee Virginia (Carr) Moyer. She was married to George Burton Coskey who preceded her in death. Ruth was an Administrative Assistant for the Army Corp of Engineers. She lived in Kansas City most of her life only moving to Oklahoma City in 2010. Survivors include two daughters: Billie Coskey Battiato and Suanne Coskey Forrester and husband Sean; six grandchildren: Julia Battiato Scott, Rachel Battiato Hughes, Tara Battiato, Joseph Battiato, Seth Forrester and Shane Forrester. Ruth had one great-granddaughter, Clara Antoinette Hughes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert Moyer, Harold Moyer and Howard Moyer, and an infant sister.
