Joni Gayle (Doutt) Countryman, 52, Independence, MO passed away August 23, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House, after losing her battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Indep, MO. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Kansas City Hospice House.
Joni was born October 9, 1957 and lived in Independence all her life. She worked in customer service for 30 years, most recently at Minsky’s Pizza. She enjoyed watching football and NASCAR and spending time with her family.
Joni is preceded in death by her husband Don; parents, John and Emily Doutt; and brother, Johnny.
She is survived by her son Donnie; sisters, Debbie Myles and her husband Bob; Tina Elder and her husband Tim; four nieces; four nephews; two great nephews and three great nieces.
