Gary Cox

Gary Cox, 43, of Independence, MO passed away October 21, 2011. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the chapel with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery. Gary was born April 30, 1968 in Independence, MO to Ernest and Betty Cox. His passions included traveling, dance and music. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. In 1989, he built a dance career, which he taught lessons, judged competitions and performed in competitions. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Cox. He is survived by his mother, Betty Cox; partner, Mark Stengel; sister, Sue Arthur and her husband Greg; niece, Whitney Arthur and nephew, Zachary Arthur.
