Billy M. Crabtree, 81, of Indep., passed away Sept. 3, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, from 6-8 pm with Rosary from 7:30-8:00 pm, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 Lee’s Summit Rd, Indep., MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at 10 am. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Billy was born on August 14, 1934 to Charles Mack and Esther (Beaver) Crabtree. Shortly after he married the love of his life in 1957, Billy joined the Army. After his service he returned to the area and joined the Sheet Metal Workers Local #2. During his tenor with the Union he served as President and Business Agent. In 1967 he became a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church where he was an active member. He was also a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, but most of all time with his family. He dearly enjoyed the time spent with his granddaughters, attending all activities that they were involved with. Survivors include; wife of 59 years, Charlene Crabtree, daughter Karen Crabtree; son Tim Crabtree (Cari); adoptive daughter Missie Condit; granddaughters Kyra and Nina Crabtree. Billy is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Glen, Charles Jr., Beverly, Marie, and Esther.
