Harvey Cramer

Harvey J. Cramer, 77 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at his residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the chapel. Harvey was born June 10, 1933 in Lamine, MO to John and Inez (Stevens) Cramer and has been a longtime area resident. He worked for over 50 years as a metal finisher for Detray Plating Works before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a nature lover. He was married to Lois D. Whitlow on September 24, 1955; she survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Larry Cramer and his wife Judy of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter, Cindy Vermillion and her husband Ernie of Independence, MO; a brother, Roy Cramer of Independence, MO; a sister, Margaret Fredrich of Independence, MO; 7 grandchildren, Becky, Jason, Jeremy, Eric, Jennifer, Stacy and Steven; 5 great grandchildren, Evan, Kaleb, Konner, Kailyn and Lainey. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Cramer on March 20, 2010 and a sister, Ruby Gregory.
