Hugh T. Crosby of Independence, MO passed into the arms of our Lord on Aug 26, 2007 with his devoted daughters by his side. Services will be 2:00 pm Sun. Sep. 2, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO, with the visitation being held from 1:00 pm until service time. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Dad was born on Oct 1, 1908 in St. Marys, KS to Thomas James Crosby and Annette Brock Crosby. Dad lived his school years in Lansing, KS. On Feb. 26, 1932 he married his childhood sweetheart, Pansy M. Brooks in Manhattan, KS. They enjoyed their life together for 63 years before her death in 1995. He left Kansas in 1953 to move his wife and two daughters to Independence. Dad’s careers varied, from Dairyman, to Ford, to BOP and then retiring from Remington Arms in 1973. Dad loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed sharing those experiences with others, he also loved to watch the Royals, Chiefs, KU and MU sports. Dad loved his family and leaves behind two daughters, Norma (Hugh) Graff and Jane (Thomas) Richards, all of Independence. Grandchildren, Reed (Phyllis) Cottingham of Orlando, FL, Bruce Cottingham of Kansas City, KS, Paul (Janet) Richards of Independence, Ann Richards, Aaron (Amber) Richards of Blue Springs, Hap (Susie) Graff and Shirley Graff of Lake Tapawingo, and Natalie (Les) Graff-Baker of Lafayette, CA. Great-grandchildren, Janie (Chris), Gregory, Samantha, Brandon, Parker, Ashley, Alexander, Austin, Sarah (Mike), Carson, Kristen and Amanda. One great-great-grandchild, Natalia and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Regional Hospice of Liberty for their love and compassion for us and our father. Contributions may be made in Dad’s memory to the Regional Hospice of Liberty, 16 Westwoods Dr., Liberty, MO 64068.
