John Crownover

October 28, 1998 — September 11, 2015

John Madison Crownover, 16, passed away on September 11, 2015. A memorial service will be held at Noland Road Baptist Church, 4505 S. Noland Rd in Independence, 2:00pm.

John was born on October 28, 1998, to Timothy and Cheryl (Hagaman) Crownover in Independence, MO. He was in his junior year at Truman High School, and also attended Herndon Career Center in the Automotive Technology program. His activities included diving, swimming, and wrestling for Truman, as well as spending time with his siblings and friends. He was also an active member of his church.

John was a daredevil and an adventurer – he loved zipping around on his dirt bike. He climbed anything that could be climbed – a metaphor for his passion for life and always reaching for the summit.

John was preceded in death by his father, Tim and aunt, Susan.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Cheryl and Eric Warren; siblings, Michael Crownover, Alison Crownover, J.T. Crownover, Haley Crownover, Jeremy Warren, Danny Warren, and Krysta Warren, and a loving extended family.

John went on a missions trip to Harmons, Jamaica this summer and had a wonderful experience. So that the ministry and works may continue in John’s memory, the family suggests contributions be made to Won by One to Jamaica, 296 Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA 15801.
