Bradley K. Curtis, 46, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. An additional visitation will be Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Iles Funeral Home; Grandview Parks Chapel; 3211 Hubble Ave., Des Moines, IA 50317. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Bradley was born March 10, 1967 in Des Moines, IA the son of Sandra Lee (Sanford). He attended Southeast Polk High School in Runnells, IA. Bradley was employed with St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza. He enjoyed big band and Elvis music, playing golf, and attending the Iowa State Fair. When he was younger he umpired little league baseball.

Survivors include his loving wife, Verlinda Curtis; stepchildren, Joseph, Benjamin, and Alyssa Bush; sisters, Peggy Adams (Britt), Debi Broughton (Jim), and Shelley Rew (Todd); brothers, Don Curtis, Jr. (Peggy), and Jeff Curtis (Elizabeth); sisters in law, Betty Curtis and Jeanne Carey; and additional nieces, nephews and family.

Bradley was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Curtis; brother, Rick Curtis; and his mother in law, Mary Phelps.
