Iris Curtner

Iris Curtner, 80, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Groves Hospice. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Iris was born April 13, 1930 in Browning, MO to Claude and Mary (Pipes) Bauswell. She retired after 30 years in the banking industry from United Missouri Bank. Mrs. Curtner loved her family dearly and they were the focus of her life. Iris is survived by her husband Larry Curtner; daughter Sheila Hooks; grandsons Robert and Ryan Hooks; great-grandchildren Robert, Ryan and Joi. She was preceded in death by her son Donald Brammer, Jr.; and step-son Glenn Allen Curtner.
