Asistió a la escuela secundaria en Nizao, República Dominicana. Se casó con César B Alcántara el 15 de Abril 1986 y de esta unión nacieron 2 hijos.


Damaris era una miembro devoto de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, donde fue sellada a su esposo y a su familia por el tiempo y por toda la eternidad. Damaris amaba a su familia y le encantaba pasar tiempo con su esposo, sus hijos y nietos, así como con sus amigos. Le encantaba bailar, cocinar y crear lindos recuerdos con todos sus seres queridos. Damaris disfrutaba visitar su país de origen, la República Dominicana, tan a menudo como podía para visitar a su madre y sus hermanos. Trabajó durante casi 25 años en University Health Medical Center y sus compañeros de trabajo la extrañarán mucho. Todos los que la conocieron extrañarán mucho la sonrisa contagiosa y la actitud positiva de Damaris.


A Damaris le sobreviven su amado esposo César B., sus dos hijos Dayanara y César E. (Amy) y sus dos nietas Briseis Damaris y Gabriela Alejandra, así como su madre Carmen María y sus hermanos.


Le precedieron en la muerte su padre Eduardo Custodio Sánchez y su hermano Fidias Custodio Cabral.


Se llevará a cabo un servicio conmemorativo en su honor el 14 de octubre de 2023 a las 10 a.m. en el edificio de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días ubicado en:


5609 Norfleet Rd, Kansas City, MO 64133.


Damaris será sepultada en su ciudad natal Nizao, República Dominicana.

She attended High School in Nizao, Dominican Republic. She married Cesar B Alcantara on April 15th 1986 and to this union were born 2 children.

Damaris was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was sealed to her husband and family for time and all eternity. Damaris loved her family and loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren as well as her friends. She loved to dance, cook and make memories with all her loved ones. Damaris enjoyed visiting her home country in the Dominican Republic as often as she could to visit her mother and siblings. She worked for nearly 25 years at University Health Medical Center and will be greatly missed by her co-workers. Damaris’ contagious smile and positive attitude will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Damaris is survived by her beloved husband Cesar B., two children Dayanara and Cesar E. (Amy) and two Granddaughters Briseis Damaris and Gabriela Alejandra as well as her mother Carmen Maria and siblings. 

She was preceded in death by her father Eduardo Custodio Sanchez and her brother Fidias Custodio Cabral.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on October 14th 2023 at 10am at The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building located at:

5609 Norfleet Rd, Kansas City, MO 64133.

Damaris will be laid to rest in her Hometown Nizao, Dominican Republic.
