Daniel C. Couch

Aug 28, 1959 — Aug 27, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Daniel C. Couch, who died at the age of 67 in his home. Daniel was born and raised in Independence, Missouri, and he remained there throughout his life, calling the community home until his final days.

Daniel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs play football, and took great pleasure in watching Tiger Woods compete in golf. In his later years, he preferred the comfort of Independence and tended to avoid large groups, valuing quiet time and familiar surroundings.

He cherished the moments he was able to share family holidays and birthdays with loved ones—times that reflected his caring spirit and the importance he placed on family.

Danny is survived by two adult children, Jason and Lorraine of Arkansas. In addition, he is survived by three siblings, Rick, Levin, and Shelly. He also loved his two dogs, Cooper and Lucy, and it was a comfort to him to have their companionship in his daily life. Danny would often take them for walks, and he enjoyed taking them to run at the cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, provided by Speaks Funeral Home, at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, where Danny will be buried next to his mother, Jean, and his father, Don.

Danny will be greatly missed and remembered with love for his devotion to family, his favorite pastimes, and the quiet, steady way he lived his life in Independence.
