Mary Ellen Daniel (Parker)

Mary Ellen (Parker) Daniel passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was 85. Mary was born to Arthur and Ila Parker on October 21, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri.

After graduating from Central High School Mary married her best friend and love of her life Joseph. They spent 62 years together before Joseph passed away in 2019. To that union came 2 sons, Joseph III and William. Mary had several hobbies. She enjoyed creating beautiful wedding cakes for family and friends, playing her favorite games on the computer and most of all her love for the theatre. She’s seen countless theatrical productions over the years. Mary had another passion as well, Elvis Presley. She was a proud member of the local fan club. Mary was a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph “Joe” Daniel III (Leisa) and William “Bill” Daniel (Teresa) ; grandchildren, Joseph Daniel IV (Christina), Ethan Daniel, Tyler Daniel and Crystal Daniel; great grandchildren, Joseph “Joey” Daniel V and Adilyn Daniel; and siblings, Betty Woody, RoseAnn Jones and Frank Parker.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Joseph and many siblings.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13th from 1-2pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral Service will begins at 2pm with burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations Mary has requested donations be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation or to One Community Hospice in her memory.
