Carlene H. Daniels, 78, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to R.E.G.A.P. Greyhound rescue 7400 102nd Street, Kansas City, MO 64133 or to the Furry Kids Refuge P.O. Box 1442, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Carlene was born March 3, 1929 in Lexington, MO to James W.B. and Ella (Wheeler) Hall. She grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School and attended Kansas City Business College. She had worked as an office administrator for the State of Missouri. She was a member of the Maywood Baptist Church, Jackson County Historical Society and former member of the D.A.R. Carlene was a devout animal lover. She was married to Harold J. Daniels on March 14, 1947; he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Jim Daniels of Independence, MO; a daughter, Candace Clardy of Portland, OR and a sister, Mary McClellan of Petersburg, IL.
