Danny Lee Crump, born on August 18, 1960, in Independence, Missouri, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Shawnee, Kansas. He graced the world with his presence for 65 remarkable years.

Danny graduated from Liberty High School and pursued further education in telecommunications at Blue River Community College. His commitment to learning persisted throughout his life as he continually sought to acquire new skills and knowledge. A jack of all trades, Danny embraced numerous lines of work throughout his life. From his most recent career at Amazon to owning a laundromat and rehabbing houses, he displayed an unwavering work ethic and a passion for learning that allowed him to navigate different fields with ease and capability. At his workplace in the early 80s, Danny's eye was caught by a beautiful co-worker. He would pass by her daily, trying to muster up the courage to introduce himself. One day, he finally made his introduction, asking her out on a formal date. She agreed, and they were inseparable ever since. On June 22, 1989, Danny and Yvette were wed and pledged their lives to one another.

Danny was known for his upbeat personality and infectious smile, which had an undeniable ability to lift the spirits of the people around him. He had a natural gift for bringing laughter and warmth to any gathering. Throughout his life, Danny nurtured a variety of interests that brought him joy. As a young man, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, reflecting his dedication and commitment to service. He was an avid model train enthusiast and a proud member of the Railroad Club, who had the privilege of showcasing a model at Union Station. In addition, his fascination with the cosmos led him to join the Astronomy Club, where he shared his love for the stars and the wonders of the universe. Danny cherished the great outdoors. Camping nights spent under the stars with his wife, Yvette, were cherished moments that highlighted his love for adventure and exploration. He also enjoyed long afternoons fishing with his grandfather at their property in Branson, experiences that marked some of his cherished memories. Danny appreciated the simple pleasures of life, including Yvette's delightful cooking, which brought him joy and comfort.

Danny's passing was preceded by his father, Clyde Henry Crump; his step-father, Robert Williams; and his grandparents, Mary Elizabeth McLamb and Homer McLamb. His legacy of love lives on through his best friend and wife, Yvette Burke; his sister, Deborah Maness (Doan); his mother, Saundra Elizabeth Williams; his step-siblings, James Williams and Laura Andelson (Augustin Rosales) his nieces and nephews, William Burke (Josie), Brittney Burke, Allen Maness (Allison), and Jennifer Wiseman (Mark); his godsons, Jordan Hamilton (Renee), Kent Yount (Mary Beth), and Kyle Yount), his dear friend, Teri Hall; his brothers-in-law, David Burke, Martin Burke and his sisters-in-law, Jeanette Burke and Linette Burke.

Friends and family are invited to Danny's visitation on September 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, located at 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055. He will later be laid to rest at Buckner Hill Cemetery in Buckner, Missouri.
