Joseph N. Danubio, 93, Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at John Knox Village Care Center. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO with a rosary said at 7:30 PM. Graveside services will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Don Bosco Center.
Joseph was born October 24, 1917 in Kansas City, MO the son of Guiseppe and Vitian (Martesi) Danubio. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Joseph co-owned and operated a local tile and carpeting company with his son. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Union #15 for nearly 70 years and the American Legion Stanley-Pack, Post 499. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards with his friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine in 1979 and his parents.
Survivors include his sons, Charles J. Danubio and Christopher J. Danubio; sister, Virginia McNamara and her husband Patrick; sister in laws, Nacy Rove and Mary DePlasita and her husband Jim; and additional nieces, nephews and family.
