Daryll K. Gilliam

Daryll K. Gilliam 57 of Independence MO passed away June 3, 2024 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A memorial gathering is planned to celebrate Daryll’s life from 6-8pm Thursday June 20,2024 at the Carson-Speaks chapel 1501 W Lexington Ave Independence, MO 64052. Daryll was born August 22, 1966 to Glenn D Gilliam Sr and Hazel R (DeLauder) Gilliam. Daryll proudly served in the US Navy from 1985-1991. Daryll was a lifelong Raiders fan and loved all things football. During college basketball season, he could be heard rooting for ‘Big Blue’ and loved all University of KY sports. Daryll was a skilled poker player and was always ready to make a bet. He had a big personality that drew people to him and made him successful in sales and in making great friends. Daryll is survived by his wife Charlotte Padgett; four children, Craig Bradford (granddaughter Olivia), Elly-Mae Hall, Conner Gilliam and Carter Gilliam (grandson Finneas) and stepdaughter Kirsten Padgett. Four surviving siblings; Raymond Gilliam (Cecilia), Lois Lowe (Samuel), Lana Benton and Nichole Blevins (Mitchell) and numerous nieces and nephews.
