Fred A. Davey, 83, Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at his home.

Fred was born September 10, 1926 in Parker, KS the son of Lloyd and Stella (Hate) Davey. He was a graduate of Parker High School where he was an athlete. Fred was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. He was employed with Bendix (Honeywell) for 31 years and never took a sick day. Fred was a member of the American Legion #499; Moose Lodge #2414 and the IBEW #124. He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, hunting and playing volleyball.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teri Hagelin; and brother, Gerald Davey.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Gloria Davey; son, Dennis Davey and his wife Sharon of Osawatomie, KS; daughter, Melody Netherton and her husband Tom of Independence; grandchildren, James Netherton of Shawnee Mission, KS; and Alexandria Pitts and her husband Jeff; great grandchildren, Jason and Gabe Pitts all of Gardner, KS; sisters, Lola Keran of Lenora, KS and Mildred Diehm of Beagle, KS; brother, Gordon Davey and his wife Mary Lou of Beagle, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.
