David Hall Clark, age 62, passed from this life on May 10, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1963, in Rolla, Missouri to George Bromley Clark and Barbara Hall. He is survived by his wife, Jolene Clark; his four children and their spouses: Laura Hayes (Brandon), Joshua Clark (Arista), Lisa Putney (Tyler), and Amy Bone (Bryson). He is also survived by three siblings, Margaret Zappitello, Melinda Pressler, and Richard Clark; and his six grandchildren Eve, Logan, Brooklyn, Crew, Tanner, and Kinsley. He is preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings Elizabeth Clark, George Clark, and John Clark.

David grew up in Rolla, Missouri for thirteen years before moving to Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hartford, Connecticut. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in history from the University of Colorado Denver. While at BYU, he met his wife, Jolene, and they were married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on August 19, 1989.

David worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as a historian and as an archivist for the Utah State Archives. For the last 24 years, David worked as an archivist at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum. David was an active member of his church. One of his greatest joys was serving as bishop of his congregation.

David quietly found ways to make each person he interacted with feel like they were cared for and important. He was always looking for ways to improve the lives of those around him. In honor of his memory, instead of sending flowers, please consider serving someone or giving to someone in need.
