David Russell Overfelt

David Russell Overfelt, 62 of Warsaw, MO passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, July 2, 2025 at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the Leukemia Society or to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). David was born February 4, 1963 in Independence, MO to Thomas David and Carroll Louise (Shumate) Overfelt and was a lifelong area resident until relocating to Warsaw. He was an expert automotive technician and worked for several years for Metro Ford. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. David had a knack for capturing the perfect sunrise and sunset photos. Most of all, David enjoyed spending time at his lake house and being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years, Pamela of the home; 2 sons, David Overfelt and his wife Megan of Auburn, KS and Bryan Overfelt and wife Jessica of Oak Grove, MO; 3 siblings, Tom Overfelt of Lincoln, MO, Laura Harding and husband David of Sibley, MO and Carol Sours and husband John of Independence, MO; 7 grandchildren, Addison, Jesse, Andrew, Bryonna, Jackson, Chevy and Levi and 2 step grandchildren, Joe and Jordan; one great-grandson, Joe Joe; and father-in-law Jim Thomas.
