Honor L. Davies, 94, of Independence, Mo passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Royal Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center in Olathe, KS.
Honor was born on July 27, 1915 in Senlac, Sasketchewan, Canada to William and Clarissa Cornish. She married Maurice V. Davies on April 12, 1938 in Senlac. They moved to Independence, Mo. in 1960.
Honor was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years. Honor’s 5 brothers, 2 sisters and father all went before her as well as her mother who died when she was very small.
Survivors include daughters Kay (Stan) Spence of Camrose, Alberta, Maxine (Larry) Griffin of Olathe, KS and son Lyle (Paula) Davies of Independence, 6 grandchildren: Cheri, Vicki, Michael, Deana, Traci and Thomas; 6 great-grandchildren: Dustin, Danielle, Autumn, Abby, Nathan and Ben and 1 great-grandchild who will arrive next year as well as 1 great, great-grandchild to arrive as well.
Honor was a Godly woman who devoted her life to her family. She and Maurice were long-time members of the RLDS West College branch. Family graveside service only.
