Ethel Davis

Ethel “Jerry” Davis, 83 of Buckner, MO passed away, Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Golden Living Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday evening, July 5, 2011 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel 300 Adams St., Buckner, MO 64016. Visitation to follow the services until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the Golden Living Center 17451 Medical Center Parkway, Independence, MO 64057. Jerry was born December 10, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Lee B. and Dorothy Nadine (Horne) McCloud and has been a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed dancing, singing, gambling, reading and knitting. She is survived by; 4 children, Linda Brown and husband Mike of Buckner, MO, Bud Davis and wife Denise of Independence, MO, Nancy Stricker and husband Jim of DeSoto, MO and Deb Nicholson and husband Tim of Goldsboro, NC; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband Earl “Woody” Davis in 1992 and a brother, Walter McCloud.
