Harriett “LeGay” Davis Fritz, 73 of Buckner, MO passed away, Saturday morning, July 2, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. LeGay was born September 2, 1937 in Atlanta, GA to Adjer Vern and Gwendolyn Gertrude (Woods) Hadley. She had worked at Hurst Marion Pharmaceuticals a number of years before she retired in 2005. Prior to that she had worked in packaging and shipping for Herald House Publishing. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching and most of all spending time with her family. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Oak Grove, MO. She was married to Raymond Fritz on August 27, 2005, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Frank Stine of Joplin, MO; 2 daughters, Janet Moser and husband Mike of Brazoria, TX and Sarah Garland and husband John of Independence, MO; 2 brothers, Edward Hadley of Bazraha, CT and Bill Hadley of Madill, OK; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Davis, a daughter, Peggy Stine, sister, Sarah Baker and a brother, Vern Hadley.
