James S. “Jim” Davis, 79, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, October 06, 2007 at the Rehabilitation Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday. Cremation. Jim was born June 14, 1928 in Louisiana, MO the son of Charles and Tina (Henderson) Davis. Mr. Davis was a quiet man who loved his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn “Sue”(Lauffer) Davis; daughters Bonnie Anderson and husband Gary, Doris Hoeschele; son Jim Davis and wife Shari; grandchildren Amy, Daniel, Amanda, Samantha, Sara, Jamie, Jeramie, Alex, and Megan; great-grandson Joseph; brothers Bill Davis and wife Jean, Harry Davis and wife Lottie.
