Shirley Davis

Shirley Jean Davis was born May 26, 1932 and passed away January 7, 2009. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband George Dewey Davis and her parents Dorothy and Mason Benefiel and sister Beatrice Harvey.
She is survived by brothers Jack Harvey and wife Marianne, John Benefiel and wife Judy, Dan Benefiel and wife Amy and sister Wanda Schnieder and husband Paul. She leaves a daughter Donita Sass and husband Chris , son Kenneth Strunk and wife Suni, granddaughter Cara Haglund, grandson Michael Riley, great grandchildren Ashley and Derik Haglund, Crystal and Jessica Riley and beloved step children Wilma Hanks, Icy and Joe Davis.
Shirley was a woman of great faith and inspired love in all who came to know her. She will be greatly missed by family and friends but is today welcomed to her new heavenly home.
A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. The service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, at the Full Gospel Assembly Church, 10537 E. 6th St. South, Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
