Donald Richard Deason, 70, of Independence, MO, passed away, Friday, April 24, 2009 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Atherton Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ’s Church. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Donations may be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews or to the Missionary endeavor of the donor’s choice. Don was born December 22, 1938 in Fort Smith, AR to Lester and Dorothy (Caldwell) Deason. He worked as an electrician for the I.B.E.W. Local #53 for over 20 years before he retired in 2001. After retirement enjoyed auctioneer work and with his wife owned and operated Rebock’s Lock and Key. He enjoyed flying planes and helicopters, auctioneering and riding motorcycles. He was a member and elder of the Atherton Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ’s Church and served the Lord by doing missionary work for the church. He was also a member of the LOBS group at the church and the Hub Cycle University. He was married to Rebecca Corn on June 17, 1989, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 3 sons, Donald Deason of Overland Park, KS, Darrell Deason and Richard Deason both of Oak Grove, MO; a daughter, Tonya Stillwell of Grain Valley, MO; 2 brothers, Bob Deason of Independence, MO and Tim Deason of Texas; 3 sisters, Doris Bass of Independence, MO, Dottie Varney and Tammy Tate both of Texas; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
