Donald A. Dehn, 80 of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, November 23, 2015 at his residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Christopher Reeves Foundation. Don was born July 16, 1935 in Argentine, KS to Kenneth R.G. and Nellie Z. (Halstead) Dehn. He spent most of his life in the Sugar Creek area graduating from Northeast High School in 1954. He had worked as a benefits Representative for UAW Local #93 Leeds for 50 years and 4 months until he retired in 2006. He enjoyed woodworking, working out doors, whittling, antique cars and most of all spending time with his family. He was a long time member of the Community of Christ. He is survived by: his loving wife of almost 60 years, Martha of the home; 4 children, Robin Turner and husband Jim of Liberty Township, OH, Rick Dehn and wife Cindy Gurney of Kearney, MO, Doni Sue Kramer and husband Ed of Kalamazoo, MI and Deanna Posey and husband Chett of Sugar Creek, MO; a brother, Kenneth Bruce Dehn; 2 sisters, Willa Farris and Carolyn Campbell; 6 grandchildren, Heather, Dane, Cale, Emily, Sarah and Ashley and a great grandson, Charles.
