Hannelore Walburga Dempsey, 68, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Olathe, KS. A memorial visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Monday, April 19 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Graveside services at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 20 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens on Salisbury Road, East of Hwy 291.
Hannelore was born July 16, 1941 in Munich, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1963 and was a homemaker for several years before becoming a medical technician, retiring from Resthaven (The Groves) after 20 years of service. She enjoyed her dog Lucky, playing solitaire and had an extensive doll collection.
Hannelore is survived by two sons: Clinton Dempsey (Carol) and Darryl “Steve” Dempsey; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Rachel, Emmaly, Brandon, Reba, Stevie, Tessie, and Amanda; sister Eveline Gauda; sister Gabriele Hubner; brother Anton Bockl; and long time friend Reta Harper.
