Helen Denham

Helen L. (Haines) Denham, 90 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at the Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Donations may be made in her name to the Kansas City Hospice House 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145. Helen was born July 24, 1921 in Independence, MO to Carl Robert and Lillian (Aylor) Haines and has been a lifelong Independence resident graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1939. She was a devoted wife mother and homemaker. She had worked for over 10 years as a supervisor at Hallmarks. She was married to Raymond A. Denham in 1961, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; a daughter, Sussanne Denham Small of Belle Vista, AR; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Russell Small and his wife Christie of North Carolina and Luke Nelson Small of Kansas City, MO and a special friend, Madora Kramer of Independence, MO.
