Denise Rae "Dee" McCain

May 22, 1953 — October 27, 2025

Blue Springs

Denise Rae McCain, lovingly known as Dee, passed away on October 27, 2025, in Blue Springs, Missouri, after bravely battling Alzheimer's disease. Born on May 22, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Carl Ray Wells and Phyllis Maureen (Diels) Wells, Denise was a radiant soul who dedicated her life to her family.

She was a pillar of support and guidance for her children, Jennifer McCain, John McCain and Julie (McCain) Inman, as well as a devoted grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Haley Inman. Her warmth and generosity shone through in everything she did, from being a Girl Scout to actively participating in her daughters and granddaughter’s Girls Scout Troops. She was also involved in the clogging community, where her spirit brought joy to many. Denise found enjoyment in bowling, music, dance and reading cozy mysteries.

While the void left by her passing is undeniable, her kindness and caring demeanor will forever resonate with those whose lives she touched. Denise's parents, Carl and Phyllis Wells, along with her son, John McCain, greeted her in the afterlife. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Doug Wells, daughters, Jennifer McCain and Julie (McCain) Inman, son-in-law Jerry Inman, and her granddaughter, Haley Inman. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

A visitation to honor her life will take place on November 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. While words can hardly capture the essence of Denise Rae McCain's vibrant spirit, her memory will surely live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She touched the lives of many during her time on this earth, and she will be deeply missed.
