Dennis Dewayne Beardsley, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. Dennis was born on July 8, 1953, in St. Louis Missouri.

For most of his life, Dennis devoted his career to MTS trucking, where he traveled the open roads. His infectious humor and witty remarks lightened the spirit of every room he entered, leaving lasting impressions on friends and strangers alike.

Dennis enlisted into the United States Marine Corp at the age of 17 and proudly served his country. He carried the values instilled during his service into his everyday life, serving as a beacon of strength and guidance for his family.

Beyond his professional life, Dennis was a man of many passions. He found comfort in the great outdoors, particularly enjoying deer hunting and riding his Harley. A devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, he cheered for his team when given the opportunity. He was a self-proclaimed buffet connoisseur, and was always on the lookout for the best deals and specials, especially when visiting Hy-Vee

Most importantly, Dennis cherished his role as a grandfather, never missing an opportunity to create memories with his grandbabies. His gentle spirit and cheerful presence will forever be etched in their hearts.

Dennis Dewayne Beardsley will always be remembered as a funny, witty, and faithful man—a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. His spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his daughter, Trisha Wuerfele; grandchildren, Christoper Lindemann, Cassie Beardsley, Mackenzie Harris, Courtney Beardsley and Hailey Wuerfele; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Brayleigh, Hunter, Arianna and Kennedy.

He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Beardsley II; mother, Ellen Beardsley; grandson, Colby Smith and siblings, James, Bonnie, Sue and Glenda.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on May 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, located at 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055.
