Dr. Lee Dennis, 87, died Thursday August 30, 2007. He was known as a teacher and counselor to his patients, residents, students, colleagues, friends, family, and most of all his dear wife and children. He proudly served his country in World War II �" Air Force Division. He was a Professor of Pathology as well as a Family Practice physician. Other interests included cooking, reading, and especially his ministry with the Community of Christ Church. His optimistic and hopeful view towards mankind, was very evident to all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy, and their four cherished daughters; Gail and William Ford, Cynthia and James Omastiak, Jean Dennis and Rick Davis, Lori and Lyle Irwin. 7 treasured grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. There will be a memorial service held at the South Chrysler Community of Christ Church in Independence Mo. on Sept. 7 at 7:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community of Christ Church, or Crossroads Hospice.
