Destinii Hope

Destinii was born just after midnight on August 22, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri to her doting and loving parents Maria Pike and Mitchell Holder Jr. Destinii chose her own name when she kicked Mommy in the belly while driving past a church with Destiny in its name, but Daddy and Mommy loved the name Lucky and still called her that too. She was also Daddy’s Little Girl, Mommy’s Pookie, Baby Clover, Sweet Girl, and Chunky Cheeks. 

Destinii loved playing with Mommy and Daddy. Mommy would sing to Destinii and Daddy would rap to her. Then Destinii would make different noises to attract her parents to come to her. Sometimes she would want Daddy and sometimes she would want Mommy. If the wrong parent came to her, then she would cry. If the parent she wanted came to her, then she was happy. But sometimes Destinii would want both of her parents and they would all have a family huddle. Destinii loved to have family huddles and surprise her parents by making new sounds. For Destinii’s first Halloween at just over 2 months old, she was dressed up in a onesie with a ghost on it and ghost leggings and would say “woo” instead of boo. 

Destinii is survived by her father, Grandparents Tom and Lynne Pike, Talisa Coombs and Mitchell Holder Sr. and Aunts Nina Book, Ashley Greenfield and Felisha Holder. Every moment of Destinii’s precious 77-day life was spent being loved, cuddled and adored.
