Jay Marshall Lou Dickey

Jay Marshall Lou Dickey, of Oak Grove, MO passed away on Wed. July 6, 2022. He was 58. A celebration of life will be held from 5:30-7:30pm on Friday, July 15th, 2022 at the Grain Valley Community Center, 713 N Main St, Grain Valley, MO 64029.
Jay was born on September 23, 1963 in Kansas City, MO to Jack William Sr. and Helen Catherine (Boswell) Dickey. He graduated from Raytown High School in 1981. On September 15, 1990, he married Laura Lynn Steffes.
Jay began with The Boating Center, where throughout his 10-year career he completed multiple boating certifications; he later worked for RSC Communications. He enjoyed golfing, family outings, and traveling with Laura. Jay adored his family and time spent with each of them.
Jay is survived by his beloved wife, Laura; two sons, Jacob Marshall (Rilan Ann) Dickey and Alexander Jay Dickey; grandchildren, Wyatt Lou (4), Brandtt Henry (2), and Kortt William (7 mo.); and siblings, Brenda Ashley, Lori Wasson, and Jack Dickey, Jr.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Dickey.
