Shirley Lenore Dillee, 83 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Private burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the Arthritis Foundation. Shirley was born April 15, 1931 in Laramie, WY to Donald and Edna (Puls) Woods. She had worked for several banks as a teller including the Bank of Independence, banks in New York and Laramie, WY as well as Laramie Power and Light. She was also a beloved wife and mother who enjoyed bowling, dancing, camping and was a loyal KC Chiefs fan. She is survived by; her loving husband of over 60 years, Roger of the home; a daughter, Sheryl O’Brien and husband Shannon of Independence, MO and a sister, Deloris Colley of Washington.
